Filming is already underway in Ireland for James Gray’s adaptation of Lost City of Z, and it was announced today that Tom Holland has been added to the cast list. Holland will be starring alongside Robert Pattinson, Charlie Hunnam and Sienna Miller. Production will continue in Belfast for 5 weeks before heading to Columbia from September and October.
Based on David Grann’s 2009 book, Lost City of Z is based on the expeditions of Percy Fawcett (Hunnam), a soldier and explorer who disappeared in the 1920s while searching for a mythical city in the Amazon jungles of Brazil. Miller will portray Fawcett’s wife while Pattinson is in the role of Henry Costin.
