Henry Cavill Interested In Being Geralt
We all know that Henry Cavill is a big nerdy geek when is comes to his love for video games. Now Henry is interested in being Geralt of Rivia for Netflix’s forthcoming adaptation of The Witcher. He recently was asked by IGN what games he was playing and he said he was playing “The Witcher 3“. Henry also mentioned that he has read the book series and they were really good.
“The Witcher 3 I just replayed, all the way through. Love that game, really good game.” Then, when asked if he would be interested in playing Geralt of Rivia, the lead character of the game, the actor answered with an earnest “Absolutely, yeah. That would be an amazing role.”
Netflix Adaptation (IGN article)
The Witcher show was announced back in May 2017, with Netflix adapting Andrzej Sapkowski’s series of eight novels which in turn inspired the hugely popular CD Projekt Red RPG games. Netflix Lauren S. Hissrich, who has previously worked on West Wing, Daredevil, and The Defenders. The series has added writers who have also worked on the likes of Netflix’s Jessica Jones and Amazon’s The Tick. The script for the pilot was finished back on February 23, 2018, but there has been no casting info as of yet.
I don’t know much about this video game or the books. However, being the huge Henry fangirl that I am, I would most definitely go out read these books and play the game just so I know what the show is about before it airs. I will pretty much see anything that he is in. Unless he played a clown, cause I hate clowns.
Thoughts?
So gamers out there, do you think Henry could pull off this role should it be offered to him? What about Henry as the next James Bond? Could he be both an American Hero aka Superman and be the world famous British spy 007? Let me know your thoughts below.
