Deadly Class…….Canceled!
That is right comic book fans this show has been canceled. Finished! Done! Gone! Over! NO MORE DEADLY CLASS!!! Seriously, WTF?!?!?! I, myself, couldn’t believe the sad news that the Deadly Class was canceled on SyFy. I seriously loved this show. It was different and raw and so freakin perfect. My heart is sad and broken over the following news that hit the web today.

SYFY has canceled Deadly Class and Happy!. Both genre series were based on comic books, with Deadly Class running for one season while Happy! ran for two.
Executive-produced by the Russo Brothers (the directors of Avengers: Endgame), Deadly Class was adapted from the Image Comics series of the same name by writer Rick Remender and artist Wesley Craig.
Set in the late ’80s, the plot centers on Benjamin Wadsworth (Marcus Lopez Arguello), a homeless kid with no direction in life until he gets a chance to join King’s Dominion, a private school for budding killers and assassins. There, Benjamin is considered an outsider, as his fellow students are the children of prestigious crime families, from the mob to the yakuza.
The series also starred Benedict Wong, Lana Condor, María Gabriela de Faría, Luke Tennie, Liam James, Michel Duval, Taylor Hickson, and Siobhan Williams, among others.
Sad Times…
I had never read this comic book when the show started, but I have now. I was really looking forward to see how the TV Show would play out. I really was in love with this show. My heart is broken to know that I won’t get to see that happens next with Deadly Class. Yes I know I can just read more comic books, but there is just something about seeing some of your favorite comic book characters on the boob tube that makes this fangirl’s heart all crazy. But now this fangirl heart is broken.

But there is always HOPE that HULU or NETFILIX could pick it up and make more. I know this fanbase isn’t going to start a gofundme page or have billboards made to save the show, but I can hope. I will miss the cast interaction with their fans and myself included on twitter. The cast would always live tweet every episode. It was a lot of fun. I wish the entire cast the best. I am sorry your show was canceled, but please know you were loved and we LOVED the one season that we got to share with you.
I am gonna go cry in my bowl of nothing then drink my bowl of tears…..after all, it’s almost summer, gotta stay hydrated. hahaha…
