Ghostbusters reboot is ramping up production in Boston and producers are looking for extras to appear in the new Ghostbusters movie.
Actors, models, and talent in the Boston area, or those able to work/live in Boston, will have a chance to land an extra role on Sony/Columbia Pictures Ghostbusters reboot.
Ghostbusters features Kristen Wiig , Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. Chris Hemsworth rounds out the cast as Kevin, the Ghostbusters’ receptionist.
The Boston Herald unearthed the following unofficial plot synopsis for the reboot:
“Wiig and McCarthy play a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. Flash forward a few years and Wiig lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia U. Which is pretty sweet, until her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Wiig reunites with McCarthy and the other two proton pack-packing phantom wranglers, and she gets some sweet revenge when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.”
Ghostbusters reboot is slated for a July 22, 2016 release. According to our sources, filming of the new Ghostbusters has just began.
Ghostbusters film is using the working title of Flapjack and The Ghostbusters reboot plans to shoot the inside scenes in the Boston area and outdoor scenes in New York City.
According to the Ghostbusters reboot casting call, the movie will be filming in Massachusetts all summer long and will wrap sometime in September. Ghostbusters is looking to cast lots of paid extras and will be holding an open casting call next weekend in Boston, Massachusetts.
