Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann) are on the opposite side now against Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Emma (Lizze Broadway), and Jordan (London Thor & Derek Luh). The pair unleashing chaos at God U as they released everyone from the woods. Cate leading them into chaos.

Brina – Cate was ready to kill or be killed. She was ready to be a super villain and she didn’t care who got in her way. And with Sam with her as a partner, they went on a rampage. Though Sam’s mind was playing tricks on him and making him see his brother, like his version of Jiminy Cricket. This show never ceases to amaze me with their insane ways people can kill or die. Boy we saw A LOT of that in this episode.

Clare – I literally binged the first 7 episodes in a day before the finale (yay for being homesick), and despite all the crazy that had come before I was not prepared for the absolute rampage that the kids from the Woods went on. That was some seriously creative death-dealing! Sam almost immediately became my fave upon watching, and as much as I didn’t want him to go bad, with that much power it’s sort of inevitable. I hated seeing him ask Cate to make him not feel, cos now Emma won’t be able to get through to him. Cate’s Pushing is seriously impressive, but I wonder how it’s going to affect her in the long run.

Amy – I never expected Cate to go full villain like this, and I’m not gonna lie it was amazing. But my favorite part of this whole thing was that Sam was seeing Luke (Patrick Schwarzenegger), who was trying to talk some sense into him. Begging him to stop Cate. It broke me when Sam had Cate use her powers on him to make him forget Luke aka his conscience.

Vought has taken charge and is changing the story of what really happened at Gold U, after Homelander (Antony Starr) arrived at the scene. Making Cate and Sam the heroes on campus while the others are being viewed as villains.

Amy – I was more than a little nervous when Homelander made his appearance, but this doesn’t surprise me. What does surprise me is that Vought sided with Cate and Sam since they wanted to take down Vought. But then again, when has Vought ever made sense in any of their choices?

Brina – Homelander is off his chain. That man is crazy beyond crazy and of course, he would side with the supervillains. But he uses his laser eyes on Marie and she is still alive?!?! Like how? Or maybe this whole last episode was another one of Vought’s dreams or super drugs. It just didn’t make sense to me that he would side with the bad supes when he rep isn’t that great right now.

Clare – Absolutely not surprised Vought has taken over, especially since Ashley was on campus when everything went down. Homelander being brought in to redirect the narrative gives him a chance to turn his rep around as Vought control the way the story gets out to the public. Making it seem like he took down the “bad” Supes on campus, while helping Sam and Cate stop the chaos.

Overall Thoughts, anything to add, comments on the season

Clare – Marie’s powers are cool as hell. Gross, but cool. I actually really enjoyed watching both her and Emma really embrace what they can do to become heroes. Real ones, not carefully PR-controlled Vought ones. I’m really interested to see how the plot here ties into S4 of The Boys, especially with those cameos from Homelander and Butcher. It’s definitely going to be interesting to see if the Supe killing virus is going to come into play in The Boys next season, and how they will react to that.

Amy – This season we really see Marie come into her powers, as she grows to appreciate them and advance them. We also got to see that she can survive a blast from Homelander, really wanna know how she can do that. Now that Emma, Marie, Jordan, and Andre (Chance Perdomo) are on the outs I really hope that we see them team up with Butcher (Karl Urban) and his gang of misfits. This season was great and I can’t wait to see how they merge with season 4 of The Boys.

Brina – I loved the cameos from The Boys but this ending left me with so many questions. I really hope there is another season of this show.

Hey, I'm Clare, aka Ciara or C. My current fandoms are RWBY and The Last Kingdom along with a bunch of other stuff I tend to let build up and then binge! I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal! When I'm not doing the fangirl thing I am a keen long-distance hiker, having completed Te Araroa in New Zealand and The Pacific Crest Trail on the West Coast of the US.
