Overall Thoughts – “The Tender Trap”
Amy- You know I thought Indria’s husband, Lars (Lukas Gage), had a lot of nerve to try and call her out about being a wife. His scenes are very punchable, especially with their debt. I laughed when Roy (Jon Hamm) realized they grabbed the wrong man at the hospital. Then, he turned to Gator and tried making it his fault when he was in the car the whole time. My heart goes out to Wayne, finding out about his wife’s previous life from two FBI agents. The man just went through getting an electrical shock and was attacked in his own home. I’m loving this version of India, though, standing up for herself and for Dorothy. Indria giving Lorraine the file on Dot, was the biggest boss move of the show.
I did feel like this was a much slower-paced episode compared to the others. And it really didn’t set things up for next week’s episode. But this episode did set up Indira’s voice and gave her a backbone. Personally, I think Indira should take the job for Lorraine.
Clare- OMG I was getting so mad listening to Lars. Idiot manchild who is totally cheating on his wife right?! Ugh. I loved the scene with Indira and Lorraine, that was absolutely brilliant, and when Lorraine actually opened the file after she left… I think some shit is going to go down now. The only thing I didn’t like was Indira taking Scotty back to her grandparents when Dot had left her in her care. There was a reason for that, and I know Indira has a llot of her own shit going on, but that felt like a mis-step to me.
Loved Roy’s no nonsense approach to finding out that his men had taken the wrong guy from the hospital. I did expect Gator to get more grief than he did, especially when he wasn’t in the car. He was in the hospital and he saw Dot and let her get away!
Speaking of Gator… the kid 100% has a death wish right? Taunting Munch and then putting a tracker on his car. Idiot is gonna get himself killed at this rate! I enjoyed this episode, but it did feel a bit filler-y.
