Slim Shady is set to make his return. Eminem announced Sunday (Aug. 24) that his ninth album will be Shady XV and is due this fall. The release date: November 28th, aka Black Friday – which coincides with the 15th anniversary of Eminem’s major label debut, The Slim Shady LP.
Eminem teased the album title by wearing a T-shirt with its name during the last stop of “The Monster Tour” with Rihanna at Detroit’s Comerica Park on Saturday (Aug. 23). However, the official announcement was made in a trailer for the Denzel Washington crime thriller The Equalizer, which aired during Sunday night’s MTV VMAs.
Following the announcement, Eminem released his new single, “Guts Over Fear” featuring Sia.
