It’s getting closer to the day that Netflix premieres its latest Marvel show, Daredevil. Charlie Cox (The Theory of Everything, Boardwalk Empire) portrays Matt Murdock, a trial lawyer by day and a guardian of Hell’s Kitchen at night. As a child, Murdock was blinded by radioactive waste while trying to save a stranger. This caused all of his other senses to become heightened to superhero sharpness.
Starring alongside Cox will be Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple) and Vincent D’Onofrio (Kingpin).
Netflix has given us glimpses into the costumes and sets, but this week, while at the SAG Awards, Cox finally answered questions as to his own suit.
“It’s pretty tight, I’m not going to lie,” the Brit actor told me yesterday at the SAG Awards. “They’ve done such a great job. I can’t wait for fans to really see it. But put it this way, there is no world where you change in a phone box. It takes four people and about 45 minutes.”
When asked about the bathroom situation while in his suit:
“They’re very clever about it,” said Cox. “You get three zippers. You zip them all up, but when you have to wee, you just have to zip one down—the wee zipper.”
The big question is if he’s going commando in the suit. Cox smiled—a very big smile, mind you—and teased, “That is the big question.”
Just from looking at the pics, the suit does look a little tight 🙂
Look for Daredevil to premiere on Netflix in April 2015.
