Combatants Will Be Dispatched “Carnivorous Female Chimera” Review

Combatants Will Be Dispatched “Carnivorous Female Chimera” is the ninth episode of the Combatants anime. Following on from the mission they were given in episode 8 Agent 6’s crew are in the desert. Stealing water nuts as they were instructed to but of curse it doesn’t go smoothly.

Plot

Whilst they farm a ton of these water nuts, Rose notices a meat like smell coming from close by. Alice warns everyone to get into the jeep and they drive off but are chased by the Sand King. Who’s a massive mole like creature with spikes going up it’s back. These spikes are what the group were stealing the water nuts from, meaning they’re part of it’s biology.

Eventually to get away they have to ditch the Jeep and jump out. Making it inevitable that they walk back through the desert to the kingdom. The trek is pretty miserable. With Agent 6 desperate to get evil points but not really able to, except for one instance when he looks up Grimm’s skirt as she sleeps. Most of the time his evil deeds aren’t seen as evil because everyone is so desperate to get out of the heat and find some food.

That is when Rose finally corners Agent 6. He’d noticed that she’d been looking at him odd lately but figured she was just hot for him. Now with that assumption in mind he assumes she’s finally coming onto him when really she wants to eat him. When he finally realises what’s going on he freaks out, they get into a fight and he earns loads of evil points.

The final act of the episode shows the Princess giving Agent 6 a new assignment. He needs to go into the ruins and extract a weapon from there that the demons are looking into before they get it.

Review

This was definitely a good episode. It had some funny moments when Agent 6 was doing all he could to be evil but nothing worked. Especially when he points out that pulling up Snow’s skirt didn’t earn him points so she must have wanted him to do it.

The humour and entertainment mainly comes from Alice noticing Agent 6’s stupid behaviour and assumptions. Assuming Rose was into him when she’s basically a child and using human logic for someone who isn’t human. Overall it was a good, solid episode that was entertaining. Not my favourite so far but still not bad at all. The show 100% still delivers.

I can’t wait to see the ruins and this supposed “weapon” XD
