Bryan Singer to Direct Fox’s X-Men Series

X-Men Series Confirmed

Bryan Singer is taking a break from directing X-Men movies to direct an X-Men TV show. The X-Men series has been greenlit by Fox and Singer is on board to direct at least the pilot.

From reports it seems that the show will centre on a family who discover their children are mutants. They go on the run to avoid an anti-mutant government and team up with an underground organisation. It’s also been said that the show will loosely tie in to the X-Men movie universe. Unlike either FXs Legion or the imminent Logan movie.

Now, forgive me if I’m wrong here, but this sounds an awful lot like Fox attempting an X-Men version of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. And that sounds awesome if they can pull it off.

The show runner will be Matt Nix, who previously helmed Burn Notice. Singer of course has extensive experience in the world of the X-Men, after all he directed the first two movies, as well as Days of Future Past and Apocalypse.

Over to you FANdemaniacs. Are you excited for this series? Or do you think that it’s time Singer moved on, left the X-Men behind and did something else. We want to hear your views so sound off!

Hey, I'm Clare, aka Ciara or C. My current fandoms are RWBY and The Last Kingdom along with a bunch of other stuff I tend to let build up and then binge! I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal! When I'm not doing the fangirl thing I am a keen long-distance hiker, having completed Te Araroa in New Zealand and The Pacific Crest Trail on the West Coast of the US.
