Bravely Default 2 Game Review
Bravely Default 2 is an RPG developed by Claytechworks and published by Square Enix in Japan and Nintendo in the west.
BD 2 is the third game in the Bravely series. Though you don’t need to play any of the others to understand and enjoy this title. It features the same Brave system for it’s turn based battles and similar art style and animations.
Plot
The game is set in a new world from all the prior games. On a continent named Excillant. Divided into five different kingdoms. The game follows four main characters; a young sailor named Seth, a refugee princess named Gloria, a travelling scholar named Elvis, and a mercenary named Adelle.
Together, they must travel the continent to restore the elemental crystals before the world falls apart.
Review
This is honestly a game I’ve been waiting for since I heard about it’s release. So happy to say that it doesn’t disappoint. Alot of people were desperately in need for another strong turn based, deep lore JRPG and BD2 gave us all exactly what we needed.
I absolutely love this game. Though I am fully aware that I like games like this and, for me at least, it couldn’t really fail as long as it stuck to the formula. Which it does. The battle system is challenging enough to keep you addicted but not so much of a nightmare that you’ll be ripping your hair out in frustration.
It’s a simple but charming and addictive RPG that’ll keep most turn based fans super happy for a long time.
