As announced during the Marvel Studios Event last year the next Avengers movie (after this summer’s Age of Ultron obviously) is going to be the epic 2 parter titled Infinity War and according to collider.com the movies now have their directors attached.
If the reports are true then Joss Whedon will be stepping aside after Age of Ultron to make way for the Russo Brothers (Joe and Anthony). The Russo Brothers are no strangers to the MCU as they will be helming Captain America: Civil War which starts filming very soon. The general feeling seems to be that Cap3 will tie very closely into Infinity War so it bodes well that the same creative team will follow that storyline through.
Further reports from BadassDigest indicate that Marvel is in talks with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who have so far written all three Captain America movies, Thor: The Dark World and were responsible to Agent Carter, to pen the script for Infinity War.
As and when Marvel confirms these or any other details we will let you know.
