Ya Boy Kongming “Borrowing Arrows With Straw Boats” Review

Ya Boy Kongming “Borrowing Arrows With Straw Boats” is the eleventh episode of Paripi Koumei. Following the determination Eiko feels to save Nanami and her success at finding her voice in episode 10. Eiko finally releases “Dreamer” to the public before the final showdown with Azalea. Mainly Eiko wants Nanami to be her true self though. With Azalea holding a special secret concert in a truck with a promise of 100,000 yen to anyone who scans the QR code at the end of the show, Azalea’s manager are certain it’s a slam dunk win, even though the girls clearly aren’t happy with the plan or how things are being done they don’t say anything besides one snide comment. But Kabe and Eiko show up, first singing an Azalea song in order to steal likes from people thinking it’s Azalea. When they realise it isn’t and the real Azalea show up and sing the same song, everyone is quick to scan the QR code but Kabe jumps in with a rhyme basically exposing Azalea as a bunch of fakes and it leaves the majority of the crowd doubting. All that’s left is for Eiko to sing.

Finding Your Voice

This was such a good episode! It’s amazing how a music battle can cause so much tension, I really desperately want Azalea to be unmasked for all their sakes, it’s obvious they aren’t happy pretending. But it’s also obvious how difficult this is for Eiko, even Kongming hesitated a little before implementing the plan, likely knowing full well how hard this is for her. Pretty amazing direction going on for this episode, as always, considering it was pretty obvious where the episode was headed it was still really nerve racking and painful to watch when Nanami realises Eiko is there and doesn’t want her to see her like that. The double life is getting to Nanami and all it needs is a slight tip over the edge for the mask to slip off, cannot wait for next episode. I’ve got a feeling it’s gonna be a super emotional one!
