WATCH: Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them Trailer

Fantastic Beasts

Last night’s MTV Movie Awards mean that I woke up today to a bunch of new trailer-y goodness. Among the bunch was the latest for the Harry Potter spin off/prequel, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.

While it’s officially called a Teaser I think we can agree this is a straight up trailer, especially as it weighs in over 2 minutes.

We see Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, former Hogwarts pupil and expert on magical animals, arriving in New York with his magical suitcase, and his exploits in the magical sub-world of New York. Those who are unfamiliar with the Harry Potter books/movies (seriously? where have you been?) should know that Scamander wrote the book “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, a textbook used by Harry and his friends during their time at Hogwarts. It’s more of an encyclopaedia of magical creatures, where as the movie (and the planned sequels) follow Scamander in his exploits around the world as he discovers the beasts he goes on to write about.

The movie also stars Colin Farrell as Percival Graves, a magical law enforcement officer who is investigating some very strange goings-on in the city, presumably that Scamander helps out with.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them also stars Samantha Morton, Ron Perlman, Jon Voight and Ezra Miller. The movie is out on November 18th, 2016.

Hey, I'm Clare, aka Ciara or C. My current fandoms are RWBY and The Last Kingdom along with a bunch of other stuff I tend to let build up and then binge! I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal! When I'm not doing the fangirl thing I am a keen long-distance hiker, having completed Te Araroa in New Zealand and The Pacific Crest Trail on the West Coast of the US.
