I thought on this #TBT I would reflect on a man, the LEDGEnd that was Heath Ledger.
It still feels like yesterday Australia lost a great man, actor, father, partner! Seven Years today!
Heath may have been a mortal but he brought such amazing characters to life, Patrick Verona in 10 Things I Hate About you, Gabriel Martin in The Patriot, who could forget him as Ennis Del Mar in Brokeback Mountain, Skip in Lords of Dogtown, but his most iconic role, the role he will be remembered forever and immortalized as was, The Joker in The Dark Knight.
He will always be my favorite actor. I remember being in my car going home when the news broke about his death. I cried, and screamed, and didn’t want it to be real, but sadly it was. He won an Oscar that following year for his brilliant performance as the Joker; Best Performance by an Actor in a supporting role. I hope he watched and looked down and smiled when he family went up to accept his award for the late actor.
Gone too soon, but never forgotten. We miss you Heath.
