John Wick directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch tell Film.com that they’re actively working on a sequel to last year’s surprise hit. It’s very early, so it’s still up in the air whether Keanu Reeves will return; right now, they’re mostly focused on amping up the set-pieces while still keeping Wick relatable.
“We want to make sure we have a story and a character that everybody loves,” Stahelski says, “and then we’ll dress it with action that we promise will be awesome.” Maybe give him a cat this time?
This news is of course coming right on the heals of John Wick being released on DVD and digitally.
