A Tart To Die For
The integrated Cardinal Guillot(Torrey Hanson), enemy of the exorcist duo, has summoned his unholy group for a ritual to find the new chosen one . The demon’s host is chosen(Colin Foo), and the group celebrates with dessert.
But the “chef”, new character Mouse(Zuleikha Robinson), has been adding something extra. She had finely ground communion wafers and sprinkled them atop each tart. The possessed coven consume them, and all pay the price, spewing blood in a scene of high Grand Guignol that will have you cheering. You’ll be cheering even louder if you saw last season of The Exorcist and all the trouble this ceremony caused…
Burn, demon burn! Demon inferno!

A Woman Possessed, An Exorcist Unconvinced
Marcus(Ben Daniels) and Tomas(Alfonso Herrera)are in Seattle, at a house where a young girl is purported to be possessed.
Tomas has seen a vision, and is certain the girl is possessed after a cursory check and interview with her mother. Marcus is not as convinced, having found a book about Regan’s(Last season’s Geena Davis) possession in the young girl’s mother’s, uh, possession. A visit from Rose(Li Jun Li) gives him even more reason to believe something very much earthly and a very different kind of evil is going on.
Marcus and Tomas and Munchausen.

With every fit the girl has, Tomas becomes more convinced. But Marcus reminds him that they called out in Aramaic with no response.
Marcus’s instinct is correct, as he finds medicines that would cause the young girl’s behavior. The mother has Munchausen syndrome by Proxy. The mother attacks Tomas with a hammer, and tries to attack Marcus. He subdues her, and an ambulance and child services are called. At the hospital, Rose tells the exorcist duo that after all the medicines have been purged from her system, the girl will go into the foster system, but she has an idea as to who can take her right away.
A Death of Crows(Possibly Ravens)
On the island, A flock of birds has flown into Andrew’s(John Cho) house, dropping dead all over his property. Andrew searches for a tardy Shelby(Alex Barima), finding him in the water where Andrew’s wife had committed suicide.
Shelby says that is where the evil emanates, and he has been trying to exorcise it.
Caleb(Hunter Dillon) is still insisting Verity(Brianna Hildebrand) took him to the well, but now Andrew doesn’t believe it.
Exorcist Trial By Communion
Has Father Bennett(Kurt Egyiawan) been compromised? Mouse is unsure, and forces him to take communion by force. He had only been avoiding communion because of guilt and is fine. Mouse is going to show Bennett what the integrated are doing to the exorcists, and it is a fate worse than death.
Thoughts on The Exorcist, Episode 2X02
I loved the opening scene. So nice to see the comeuppance after last week. So fitting! And Mouse rescued the cat. SEE WHAT THEY DID THERE?

Will Tomas begin to doubt himself?
What’s the deal with Andrew’s neighbor, the lamb guy? Red herring or bad guy?
