Ok so for soundtrack Sunday I thought as Halloween was yesterday, I should keep with the season and show case my favourite Halloween themed songs. These songs will be from a film or TV show and be ones that stick out for this time of year.
My first choice is The Addams Family Theme. The Addams Family are not your average family, they are the type of family you would dress as for Halloween. Black is the main colour in their wardrobe and their house is full of spiders, cobwebs and things that would make most people run and scream, they had 2 films as well as a long running TV show even though the films had a different cast, due to the time gap between them. So here is the theme to The Addams Family.
Next we have The Sanderson sisters from a marvellous film called Hocus Pocus. This film is about 3 evil witches who after 300 years are set free and it’s up to 3 kids to save the day, with Thackeray Binx who was a boy trapped in the body of a cat when the sisters were caught and hanged. This film is a great children’s comedy by Disney and I really do recommend it if you haven’t seen it already.
Ghostbusters was and still is an amazing film about 3 scientists who set up a business where they trap ghosts for people. This film is full of fun and laughter, along with amazing special effects and an amazing cast, the tune is very catchy and you may find yourself singing along to it.
My last choice is Thriller, this song by Michael Jackson is one song everyone remembers on Halloween, with an amazing zombified dance that goes with it, this song and dance has been used on a film called 13 going on 30, where a girl wishes she was older and wakes up as a 30 year old woman, it’s a film showing how much we change over the years and lose some of our fun. I will show you the full music video though as it is ace!
