Soundtrack Sunday: Bond, James Bond.

Soundtrack Sunday

An advert in the cinema the other day, caught my eye and reignited my love for some of the signature tunes that have accompanied a series of Films that have spanned across the decades, the main character has been played by many a great actor, but his ways with the woman and a gun have never really changed. James Bond is a spy who has 23 films accounting his missions and that doesn’t count Spectre which is the next in the line.

With a name like bond the actor has to have a big presence and I know everyone usually argues over who they think has been the best bond and with names like Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton, Roger Moore and Daniel Craig amongst that list you have some reasons as to why each made their version of bond their own.

The James bond theme is probably something I shouldn’t listen to whilst driving the car but it is memorable and part in parcel of all the bond films, as it makes an appearance somehow when action is happening. With artists making the signature tunes for each film being well known themselves, it’s hard to miss the songs that are sung, especially with people like Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Lulu, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Paul McCartney, Adele, Duran Duran and The John Barry Orchestra we have an amazing list to choose from, I will show you 4 of my favourites.
The James Bond Theme by ‘The John Barry Orchestra’.

The Man with the Golden Gun by Lulu

Thunderball by Tom Jones

Goldfinger by Shirley Bassey
