Shadowhunters Lost Souls Spoiler Free Preview

It’s that time. Finally, after 8 long, agonizing months, Shadowhunters is back. We’ve seen the 3B premiere, so get comfortable for our Shadowhunters Lost Souls Spoiler Free Preview.

Synopsis

In the emotional midseason premiere, everyone is dealing with the loss of Clary and are trying to move on best they can. Unbeknownst to them, the Shadowhunters face a new level of evil that they can’t even imagine with the arrival of Jonathan Morgenstern.

A word of warning

Obviously with this being a “Season Premiere” kind of episode, and given where 3A left off, it is safe to say that there is a LOT going on this episode. It’s going to be really hard to keep this spoiler free. I’ll try to mention everyone at least a little bit, but if I don’t go into detail on your faves, it’s probably safe to assume that describing what they get up to would be pretty spoilerific.

3 days later

The episode picks up 3 days after the climax of 3A and after a quick recap it’s straight into action. The three Lightwood siblings are on a mission together. Jace (Dominic Sherwood) is, as I think we all have seen in trailers, in a rather self destructive mode, and he’s getting reckless. This does however make for a pretty sexy fight scene in a sewer (I’ll take phrases I never thought I’d type for $200).

After that, you’re probably going to want to grab an entire box of kleenex, because in very quick succession you see Simon (Alberto Rosende), Magnus (Harry Shum Jr.), Alec (Matthew Daddario) and Jace all dealing with their grief in a manner of ways.

New Arrivals

Well, I have to say that the stand out of this episode was a certain someone with cheekbones you could cut yourself on. Luke Baines arrives in style and makes the role of Jonathan Morgenstern his own FAST.  Also, traveling cloaks are definitely about to become a must have this winter, you heard it hear first.

Malec fans, this bit is for you

I think it’s pretty fair to say that you guys are going to be happy with this episode. Domestic Malec comes at you fast. Magnus learning how to be without his magic leads to some pretty awesome content. I’m just going to say tiger stripes and leave it at that.

Guess who’s back…

Well actually several characters make a return in this episode, including a certain young warlock who is in need of a babysitter or two…

We also have the return of a certain werewolf who needed some space to think at the end of 3A. Alisha Wainwright is back and having an immediate effect on those around her. It felt like Maia had matured a little during her break. Simon is not handling his part in Clary’s death well, he feels responsible and Maia pushes him to deal with things he has been avoiding.

I Got a Theory…

Luke has taken his leave from the pack and is kinda lost weekend-ing in a motel room…with a murder board. He has a theory about what happened the night Clary died. When he tells Jace, even the reckless, mourning Shadowhunter thinks he’s kinda lost it.

Shadowhunters returns

Shadowhunters will return on Freeform on February 25th at 8/7c and worldwide on Netflix on February 26th.
