Siren

Season 2 Episode 3

Natural Order

Ryn fights to maintain leadership of the pack when her loyalties are questioned; Ben interferes in a mermaid ritual, causing friction between himself and Ryn; Helen discovers more about her family lineage.

The Leader of the Pack

It seems there is a Natural Order to things in the way of the mermaid pack, but lately things aren’t going the way they should. There has been so much tension in the newly formed mermaid pack between Ryn and Katrina. Both fighting to be in charge. Katrina takes note of the fact the Ryn is getting weaker the longer they stay out of the water.

With some help from Ben and Maddie they find a way around them having to go back into the ocean but still be in the ocean water,  in the forms of a big tank. They get it finished and filled just in time for the big show down between the two mermaids.

This is a crazy fight that seems to go to the death. Don’t mess with two pissed off power hunger mermaids.

But you know who is too hard-headed to listen to that? Ben that’s right. He can’t help but to try to help Ryn when he thinks she is losing the battle and he only ends up making her mad. And he gets hurts.

The Song

We have heard the Siren’s song in the first season more than once but so far this season it has only been talked about. Maddie has reasons to believe that song is more powerful than they want to believe. That it might even cause some sorta brain damage or malfunction. Ben is like an addict for Ryn and her song. He craves it. Seeing how he and Maddie like to discover things, they decide to record Ryn’s song for “research”.

Since Ben can’t be around her when she does it, he waits outside, while Maddie puts on sound proof headphones to block out Ryn’s song. After watching this part, I believe Maddie’s headphone’s didn’t do their job of blocking. I think we may have another Siren’s Song addict on our hands.

Family

We are finally getting a few more clues on who Helen is and whom she is related to. In this episode, we get to kinda meet someone we saw in episode one at the addicted meeting Ben had attended. Turns out Rick Marsden is somehow related to Helen. I still believe more is to come from this and I have a feeling it’s not going to be pretty.

Maddie’s mom Susan, is becoming more and more curious about what Maddie is up to with Ben. Even though both Maddie and her father Dale are doing their best to stop her from being so nosy. It is not working. She even reaches out to someone via the phone and lets them know something isn’t right in the town.

Xander

This man is losing his way. From the drinking to now fight with his best friend. He even broke his silence about how his father died. He is just opening up so much to this new girl he is dating. Just giving her way too  much information. Sadly this is going to blow up in his face sooner later.

Can’t wait to see what happens this week. Until then, see you around the Cove.
