Shadowhunters – A Kiss From A Rose Spoiler Free Preview

Official Episode Synopsis

Continuing to track down information on the rumors about misconduct at The Clave’s downworlder prison, Isabelle (Emeraude Toubia) asks Alec (Matthew Daddario) for help. Meanwhile, Magnus (Harry Shum Jr.) succumbs to asking Lorenzo (Guest star Javier Munoz) for a favor and Jace (Dominic Sherwood) takes Clary (Katherine McNamara) on a special date.

We’re back!

Hey there Shadowfam. I’m back after a screener free week last week (probably for the best, not sure I’d have coped with THAT scene) with our Shadowhunters – A Kiss From A Rose spoiler free preview. I’ll say one thing, that synopsis up there doesn’t do justice to this episode AT ALL. As always there’s more than meets the eye, especially when it comes to some of the preview images we’ve seen shared. I’m not saying which, just… be prepared for some twists that may leave your jaw gaping. Especially one near the start featuring everyone’s favourite hellspawn we love to hate, Jonathan (Luke Baines).

Clace

There’s some super cute romantic stuff this week from Clary and Jace. Their little morning after moment is soft and sweet, but there’s an underlying edge after Jonathan’s little message last week. The ice skating date is cute as hell, as I’m sure you’ve seen from the clip that has been shared. What you haven’t seen from that is the moment just before where Jace explains why he chose ice-skating and Clary’s reaction. I awwww’ed out loud. Seriously.

Malec

There’s some tension. And it’s mostly due to Lorenzo bloody Rey. There’s a showdown later in the episode that literally had me cheering and egging on one character (you’ve no idea how hard this is not to spoil!!!). I really hope that he gets his comeuppance soon. I’m really going to enjoy that. I’m also worried about Magnus, but that’s all I can say.

The aftermath of that Vampire v Werewolf battle

Is bloody. And yet also manages to summon up quite a sweet moment between Maia (Alisha Wainwright) and Jordan (Chai Hansen). It also features some Luke (Isaiah Mustafa) and Simon (Alberto Rosende) scenes that are quite fun. The final scene in the Jade Wolf is going to have some serious repercussions. I’m interested to see if it plays out the way I think it will given a certain shot in the pre-3B trailer (I’m sorry to be so cryptic, I really am).

Forensic Pathologist Izzy is BACK

And as badass as ever. Not only that but she also leads a squad of Shadowhunters later in the episode that’s pretty cool. I hope we get the pay-off next episode for a scene that only lasts a couple of seconds (criminally short) but seems pretty pivotal.

I think that’s it…

I mean, seriously, if I get into ANYTHING else then we’re into spoiler territory. I want to just go mad and talk about everything, but that’s not the point of this. Thankfully it’s only a couple of days until the episode drops, so hopefully these little teases will keep you all hungry for the episode.

Shadowhunters – A Kiss From A Rose airs on Freeform Monday 18th March at 8pm (7c). It’s then available worldwide on Netflix from Tuesday 19th March.
