Rob’s Corner: Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

Well not really gone.  I can only laugh at all the different reactions I’ve seen these past few days since Rob debuted his new hair cut at the GO GO Gala.  For me, its hair, it grows back.  I wasn’t expecting the Professor Flitwick (from Harry Potter) or the Lloyd Christmas (Dumb and Dumber) look, I was more hoping for the Mohawk, but Rob surprised us all, especially leaving the back of the head soul patch.  But here’s  the way I see it…

He debuted it at a time that he knew everyone would be watching, which in turn brought more awareness to a charity he has been involved in for the past few years.  Yes it was dramatic, but now when you hear the words GO GO Gala and Robert Pattinson, they are somewhat synonymous.

Last year, at the same gala, Rob debuted his goatee, which got people talking and he also bid on an item worth $5600.  This year, his bid was just as high (although he didn’t win), but from the sounds of it he did donate an amble amount of money.

So let’s move on to the next night at the Hollywood Film Awards, where he was a presenter, the question of the day was “Would the Landing Strip Be Gone?”  And Rob surprised us yet again by leaving it.  He is a man who does what he wants.

So all in all, the moral to my rambling…we may never know what made him decide to go with this fashionable look, but it’s his head, it’s only hair, so who cares!!

Now let us take a few minutes to go back a year to the goatee and reminisce.
