Road Trippin’ with The Bold Type
Road trippin’ with The Bold Type looks like it would have been so much fun. Especially with drunk and high Jane. Poor Jane has it tough the last few weeks. I think this little crazy spur of the moment trip is what she needed.
Jane Needs A Release
We all know Dr. Ben means well but man he is killing Jane with all his info. I mean he even made her a folder with pictures and diagrams. Talk about overkill. But Jane being Jane, she found an escape from her cancer folder and Dr. Ben for a while. It starts out with a run in with Pinstripe in the elevator.

Which quickly turns into Jane and Pinstripe getting day drunk and seeing how many olives they can put in their mouths. Pinstripe does try to ask Jane what is bugging, her but Jane dodges his questions.

She shows back up at work drunk AF and Sutton pops and tells her they are road tripping to her hometown cause she needs her birth certificate for her passport. Jane loves everything about this trip, except she didn’t know it was a 12 hour drive. Jane can sing her little but off, as she shows us once again in this episode.

On the ride home, Jane does read through what Dr. Ben gave her and she makes her mind on what she is going to do. She calls him and they meet up for coffee. Which leads to a little happy time in a public bathroom.
I love Jan and Dr. Ben, but I have a soft spot for Pinstripe. I like him, he seems to always be there for Jane. He drops a bomb shell on Jane at the end of his episode that leaves you wondering. What is she going to do with this information of his feelings for her??
Sutton Goes Home
If Sutton wants to go to Paris she is gonna have to go home first. She needs her birth certificate. Sutton hasn’t been home in a long time. Cause her and her mama don’t have the best relationship. Sutton gets home only for find her mama isn’t there and neither is the hide a key. So she has no choice but to go the bar cause it’s Thirsty Thursday and her mama likes to drink….. a lot.
Sutton runs into her ex boyfriend at the bar before she runs into her mom. Who is sober, much to Sutton’s surprise, she always works at the bar.

Sutton is not trying to hear anything her mom is saying. She just wants her birth certificate and she wants to go back to NYC. Jane and Kat try to get Sutton to see that maybe her mom has changed but she isn’t having it. But just drops a low blow and says ” At least you have a mom”. That is just what she needed to hear because she does sit down and talk to her mom. She found out her mom is sober all because she saw a picture of Sutton and the girls drinking. It made her realize she didn’t want Sutton to be like her.

Tears were flowing yet again for Sutton. But I think she and her mama just might be in a better place.
Kat Doesn’t Wanna Play Anymore
While Jane is singing on stage and Sutton is dealing with her mama drama. Kat is being flirted with hard.

But her fun time is stopped short when Adena calls and leaves her a message. She finally has made a decision that she doesn’t wanna play the field anymore. She wants to be with her. But when she tells Adena doesn’t get the response she expected. After seeing next weeks season finale, I don’t know if they will last.
