What We Do in the Shadows 210: THÉÂTRE DES VAMPIRES: The vampires are invited to the prestigious traveling circus. With Guillermo MIA, how will the Staten Island vampires get dressed?

Gone Guillermo
Nandor(Kayvan Novak) is having trouble getting out of his coffin. Guillermo(Harvey Guillén) isn’t there to help. Assuming Guillermo is hiding, Nandor sneaks to Guillermo’s room. Guillermo has left only a note: “Sorry”.

Several Days Later
Things are going great without Guillermo at the Staten Island vampire house. Sure, there are bodies everywhere. It’s perfectly fine that Nandor forgets to put candles out. And yes, Colin(Mark Proksch) slips on massive pools of blood. But things are fine.
Ok, no they aren’t fine at all.

Nandor is wearing his Michael Jordan Olympic jersey, Laszlo(Matt Berry) is in a top hat and half a track suit. Nadja’s(Natasia Demetriou) top knots are askew. Nandor blames himself for not being aloof enough. No one knows Guillermo’s full name. Nandor wants to send a pic of himself having fun, but no one has his number.
Nandor is having a good time without Guillermo.

The Invitation
The doorbell rings and the door won’t open because it is hexed Nandor was pushing instead of pulling it. It is a special delivery invitation to the THÉÂTRE DES VAMPIRES!

The troupe only comes to America every five years, and the Staten Island vampires have never gotten an invitation. They all jump around until, like Cinderella, they realize they have nothing to wear.
Colin, however, tells them he is willing to risk his life to get their clothing. At the dry cleaner. Where he needed to go anyway. But Colin wants to make a deal; he gets a new room. Colin doesn’t like living in his basement bedroom. He wants to live in the other room in the basement.
Guillermo’s New Life
Guillermo is home with his mother(Myrna Cabello), and he loves feeling loved and needed. His Van Helsing ancestry was distracting him from his duties as a familiar, anyway.
Distracted.

The fridge is out, and Guillermo decides to go to the vampire’s house to retrieve Topher’s, since he doesn’t need it anymore.
Guests of Honor
The vampires are escorted to their seats at the theater. The creme de la creme are all there, and some have worse seats. Colin sees big time energy vampires there as well, and tells the other vampires not to embarrass him after seeing Carol. Carol is a big deal.
It’s a Trap
Guillermo arrives at the Staten Island mansion. Bodies are everywhere, and he slips on a pool of blood. Ghost Nadja possessed doll tells him that the vampires are doing fine without him and are at a play.

Guillermo inspects the invitation and sees the seal of the Vampire Council. The vampires are walking into a trap. He knows what he must do…

The Play
The play starts. A familiar sounding host is narrating. Hold on, it is Vladislav(Jemaine Clement)! The vampires realize too late that it is a trap. Bound to their seats, they watch as actors portray their supposed misdeeds.
The play’s the thing.

Many of them are new to the vampires, as the kills were all done secretly by Guillermo. The troupe reenacts the final punishment: beheading. But first, they take a look back at all the vampires they lost that year.

The Rescue
The vampires tell the crowd it was Guillermo that did the killing, but that Nandor, in turn, killed Guillermo. Watching from above, Guillermo is touched. He also wonders if they are actually covering for him, or just don’t know his full name. The actors do a skit making fun of Guillermo, and he attacks.

The Staten Island vampires watch from the stage as Guillermo takes out the bulk of the vampires in the theater, Carol included. Vladislav escapes.
My Name Is

Nandor asks Guillermo if there’s something he needs to say to them. Standing amidst the carnage like a badass LGBTQ River Tam, Guillermo tells the vampires:
My name is Guillermo de la Cruz.
