Legends of Tomorrow 514: The One Where We’re Trapped on TV: To protect the Legends from her sisters, Charlie traps them on her streaming service’s TV shows.

Spoilers!

The Mush and the Ministry

The Fates have won.

Charlie(Maisie Richardson-Sellers) returned the Loom to her sisters, and the world is theirs.

Mona Wu(Ramona Young) is in a depressing black and white ministry building, editing history books to please the Fates. When her co-worker complains about his job, Atropos(Joanna Vanderham) kills him.

Leaving work to go home and eat her allotted grey mush, she encounters Gary(Adam Tsekhman). Gary is now one of those crazy folks that you see holding signs and you generally avoid. He tells anyone that will listen that things aren’t right. He tells Mona that they know each other. She brushes him off and goes home.

Clothos Productions

The only joy Mona gets out of life is watching her favorite shows on Clotho’s streaming service. She turns on her TV to watch a Friends type show titled “Ultimate Buds”. But wait…what is going on?

Nate(Nick Zano) is the wacky, dumb neighbor in love with Zari(Tala Ashe). Behrad(Shayan Sobhian) is alive and living with his sister. None of them know they are Legends. Canned laughter follows every cheesy line.

Getting mush on his shirt, Behrad removes the Totem to go change. It begins to glow, and Zari tells Nate it has never done that before. The old Zari is ejected from the totem in spirit form, and her memory is intact. Realizing something is wrong, she possesses the new Zari’s body. She asks where everyone is, including Mona. Mona gasps, realizing they are talking about her.

She runs out to get Gary. She convinces him that they need to get to Clothos Productions to figure out what is going on.

Highcastle Abbey

Zari asks about a door the boys had never used. Opening it, there is a film of TV static inside. Touching the static, Zari shatters it and she and the boys walk through. Their clothes change into post-Edwardian outfits.

Constantine(Matt Ryan) is there as a butler. He tells them he has been expecting them and welcomes them to Highcastle Abbey-a parody of Downton Abbey.

It seems that Behrad is engaged to Astra(Olivia Swann), daughter of the Lady Natalie(Alice Hunter).

Zari excuses herself and goes to find Constantine, hoping to remind him who he is. This Constantine still has powers, much to his disgrace and shame.

Astra tells Behrad she wishes she had been a man so that they could go on adventures. Gathering everyone together, Zari convinces Constantine to transport them out of the Abbey to wherever captain Sara is.

Star Trip

While still having their post-Edwardian personas, the group appears as aliens on a ship hailing Sara(Caity Lotz) and a now very logical(cough Vulcan cough) Ava(Jes Macallan).

With almost everyone back together, the group begin to suspect that Zari is right. There has been strange signals coming from the Culdesac planet…

Just then, a giant hand comes on screen and takes the alien ship.

At Clothos Productions

Gary and Mona sneak into the Productions building, and realize that there are humans trapped on the shows. Mona begins rewriting on the scriptwriter. This makes the Legends remember who they are. Gary and Mona are jubilant, but Charlie catches them. She tells Gary and Mona that their meddling has endangered her friends and Charlie begins writing on the scriptwriter herself.

Return to Mister Parker’s Cul-de-Sac

On Mister Parker’s(Erik Gow) show, he tells them to repress everything they know, and go back to their shows. The Legends all have musical numbers, then return to their shows to save their own lives.

Constantine’s Sacrifice

Astra asks if her mother is alive; Constantine is unsure. The mother at Highcastle may just be a character. But to make sure Astra retains all that she has gained by being on the show, he tells her that he will keep up the charade as penance. Returning to Highcastle, it is Christmas. Having overheard Astra with Behrad, Lady Natalie gives Astra a ticket to London as a gift.

Astra realizes she and Constantine can’t stay there, and they leave.

The Void

Ava realizes that Charlie gave everyone what they had said they wanted just before the zombie attack. But she also realizes they aren’t really living. Knowing Ava is right, Sara lets new enemy Dhan/Mick(Dominic Purcell) destroy the ship. This gets them cancelled and sent to the void by Charlie.

Constantine and Astra soon follow, as does Behrad, Nate and Zari. Charlie gives both Zaris bodies, and old Zari and Nate kiss.

The Warning

Charlie tells them that now they must face their fates, she can no longer help them. Not caring, the Legends walk out the door…
