Yesterday we reported on the fact that Hayley Atwell‘s Peggy Carter was going to be appearing in the first episode of season 2 of Agents of SHIELD ahead of her own spin off, well today it has been confirmed that the appearance will be a 1940s era flashback with, it seems, the Howling Commandos Dum Dum Dugan (Neal McDonough) and Jim Morita (Kenneth Choi).

And as if that wasn’t awesome enough, the fabulous folks at Shieldsite have released 19 pictures from that season premiere. Titled Shadows the opening episode will give us Coulson and his team as fugitives in the wake of the Hydra subversion of SHIELD yet still out there saving the world. The new stills also give us a first glimpse of new team members, in the form of Lucy Lawless (Xena, Spartacus) and Nick Blood (Trollied).
Adrian Pasdar’s Colonel Talbot also makes an appearance.
