‘Nashville’ to return on CMT after ABC cancellation

‘Nashville’ was a recent victim of the cancellation axe over at ABC last month at the end of its fourth season but fans can rejoice. CMT have confirmed that they have rescued the show and it will air on their network for a 5th full season, yep, 22 whole episodes. AND, not only that, but it will be available on streaming service Hulu as well.

The country music based drama show stars Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere

This also goes to show that fan campaigns do have power, since the ‘Nashville’ fandom took to social media in the wake of the cancellation to try and save their show.

Reports say that when season 5 returns it will air on CMT and then be available on Hulu the next day.

Clare Hemsworth

Hey, I'm Clare, aka Ciara or C. My current fandoms are RWBY and The Last Kingdom along with a bunch of other stuff I tend to let build up and then binge! I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal! When I'm not doing the fangirl thing I am a keen long-distance hiker, having completed Te Araroa in New Zealand and The Pacific Crest Trail on the West Coast of the US.
