New Music Tuesday – Don’t Call It a Comeback

Who knew so many artists that haven’t had new music in years were back at it? This week’s New Music Tuesday is dedicated to them. Once again, I am thanking Spotify for turning me on to these new songs by some of my favorite 90’s performers.

Gwen Stefani is once again stepping out on her group No Doubt with her new solo single, “Baby Don’t Lie”.

And not to be out done by his wife, Gavin Rossdale has joined up with his fellow Bush bandmates and they have a new single out called “Bodies in Motion”.

(Since the song is so new, it isn’t yet on YouTube. Check it out here on Spotify.)

Ashanti has teamed up with French Montana for her newest song, “Early in the Morning”.

With Halloween next week, I think it’s fitting that The Smashing Pumpkins be on the comeback post as well with “Being Beige”. (Smashing Pumpkins & Halloween… Get it?)

Adding to this already amazing soundtrack for Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, The Chemical Brothers team up with Miguel  to make “This Is Not a Game”.

And to finish off this New Music Tuesday, the Queen of R&B, Ms. Mary J. Blige’s new soul healing song, “Whole Damn Year”.

There you have it – something old coming back at us with something new. I love new music, but new music from my favorite artists is even better. Is there anything you have heard that’s new that you love? If so, let me know below.
