Music Monday – Pitbull

With his hip hop latin sound and dirty rap lyrics, Armando Christian Pérez, better known as Pitbull, has taken the world by storm. When I first heard of Pitbull, it was back 2004. It was his song “Culo” featuring Lil Jon. I don’t know much Spanish, Cuban, or Latin, but I know what that song was about and I know it was dirty… and I liked A LOT!!

In the beginning, he was all jeans, t-shirts and MIAMI baseball hats (he looked damn good) with a more street hip hop sound. And now he is all tailored suits and ties (he looks even better ‘cause they fit tightly… I mean, nicely).   …oh damn, I got side tracked.  🙂

Anyhow, back to the music… In the past 10 years, he has made 8 albums, 5 of which when to #1.

2004: M.I.A.M.I.

2006: El Mariel

2007: The Boatlift

2009: Rebelution

2010: Armando

2011: Planet Pit

2012: Global Warming

2014: Globalization

I can’t honestly tell you what it is about this man but I kinda love him. I know he is a bit of a sellout, but his music makes me wanna shake my ass. Please get ready to start your morning off with some booty shaking.
