Marvel’s Runaways Coming To Hulu
That’s right, Hulu have thrown their hat into the Superhero arena and have ordered a full season for Marvel’s Runaways.
Who on earth are the Runaways? I hear you ask. They are a group of teenagers who find out that their parents are all supervillains. They all run away from home (hence the title) to team up to stop their parents evil antics. Oh yeah, and they all have abilities of their own.
The team consists of (l-r) Gert Yorkes, Nico Minoru, Alex Wilder, Chase Stein, Karolina Dean and Molly Hernandez.
Ariela Barer as Gert Yorkes
Gert (as shown in the illustration above) is a purple haired, glasses wearing, sarcastic nerd…oh yeah and she has a telepathic link to a dinosaur (YES REALLY).
Lyrica Okano as Nico Minoru
The daughter of dark wizards, Nico finds out after running away that she has inherited their magical powers. In the comics she wields a powerful magical staff that appears when she bleeds.
Rhenzy Feliz as Alex Wilder
The son of powerful mob-bosses, Alex excels in strategy, making him a naturally gifted leader for The Runaways.
Gregg Sulkin as Chase Stein
Fiercely loyal to his team-mates, Chase is somewhat unpredictable in nature. He controls the Fistigons, which allow him to conjur and manipulate fire.
Virginia Gardner as Karolina Dean
Karolina has a pretty cool story, it’s out there on the interwebs if you want to find it but we won’t spoil it. We will say that she is the only gay member of the team and in the comics it is hinted she has feelings for Nico.
Allegra Acosta as Molly Hernandez
Molly is the youngest and most innocent member of the team. She is a mutant with immense physical strength which is just seriously cool!
What’s that? You want more? Well how about a teaser trailer?
