Marvel’s Inhumans casts Anson Mount as Black Bolt

Hell on Wheels Alum to play Inhuman King

Hell on Wheels star Anson Mount has been cast alongside Iwan Rheon in the upcoming Marvel’s Inhumans series.

Mount will play Black Bolt, the enigmatic king of the Inhumans. Black Bolt possesses a voice so powerful that just a whisper can level a city. Black Bolt’s power is so great he has undergone extensive training to ensure he never utters a sound. He communicates via sign language or through a spokesperson to avoid causing untold destruction.

He will star alongside Game of Thrones alum Rheon who plays Maximus. Check out our post on Rheon’s casting to find out more about Maximus and The Inhumans.

As previously reported, in a ground breaking deal the first two hours of Marvel’s Inhumans will debut in US theatres over Labor Day Weekend for a two week run before the 8 part series launches on ABC.

We are really excited for this series. Marvel have done a great job so far with Inhumans in Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD & tying in to the larger MCU. Hopefully they will do something similar with Marvel’s Inhumans, which was originally intended to be a movie. Giving them an 8-part series instead should mean more development & more chances for interaction with the MCU.
