Marvel’s Inhumans First Look

Take a look at Attilan’s Royal Family – Marvel’s Inhumans!

Entertainment Weekly have just dropped a first image of the assembled cast of Marvel’s Inhumans.

L-R Eme Ikwuakor (Gorgon), Ken Leung (Karnak), Anson Mount (Black Bolt), Serinda Swan (Medusa), Isabelle Cornish (Crystal), Iwan Rheon (Maximus)

Not pictured – Lockjaw, the 1 ton teleporting dog… guess we’ll have to wait a little longer to see him.

If you’re a fan of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD then you will be very familiar with Inhumans. Daisy, Lincoln and Yoyo among others are all Inhumans. For those who are unfamiliar, Inhumans are those who have undergone a process called terrigenesis. This process triggers what some might consider mutations, giving each Inhuman unique abilities. For example Black Bolt, the King of Attilan and the Inhumans, possesses a voice which can destroy buildings. This poses a challenge in the show, as Black Bolt is the main character and yet he doesn’t speak – choosing to use sign language so as not to destroy everything around him.

Now, I don’t know about you guys but I am really not sure about Medusa’s hair. Check out the image they have clearly referenced for that cast shot.

Medusa’s hair is prehensile, and I get that most of it will be CGI but could they not find a static option that looked less like melted plastic?

The rest of the Royal family just look a little too…normal? I mean, where is Black Bolt’s hood? And Karnak’s oversize head?

On a more positive note, we also got a look at the key art for the series which is pretty damn cool.

Are you looking forward to the series? We’d love to hear your opinions FANdemaniacs!
