Marvel’s Jessica Jones adds to cast

The most recent casting announcement for the AKA Jessica Jones mini-series has got this girl rather excited. Why? Because it brings together two of my favourite things – comic book shows and The Originals.

The first new cast member to be added to AKA Jessica Jones is Eka Darville.

Eka played Diego, one of Marcel’s trusted inner circle of vampires, in season one of The Originals until he succumbed to a werewolf bite and the newly-resurrected Mikael in quick succession. The Aussie cutie is also known for Spartacus: Blood and Sand and for playing the Red Ranger in Power Rangers: RPM. The casting announcement says that he will play Malcolm, a neighbor of Jessica’s whose own journey will intertwine with her quest in a surprising way.

Second is Erin Moriarty (The Kings of Summer, Red Widow) plays Hope, a young girl who becomes a client of Alias Investigations

and finally Wil Traval (Red Widow, All Saints) plays an NYPD cop who takes “protect and serve” very seriously.

Other confirmed cast members for AKA Jessica Jones include Krysten Ritter in the title role, David Tennant, Rachael Taylor and Carrie Anne Moss. AKA Jessica Jones will form part of the lead up to a Defenders mini-series along with Daredevil, Iron Fist and Luke Cage.

About author(s)

Clare Hemsworth

Hey, I'm Clare, aka Ciara or C. My current fandoms are RWBY and The Last Kingdom along with a bunch of other stuff I tend to let build up and then binge! I'm a keen, albeit amateur, cosplayer and love attending cons in various cosplays. I'm also the resident comic book girl around these parts, especially small press comics, so if you've got an indie book you want reviewed, I'm your gal! When I'm not doing the fangirl thing I am a keen long-distance hiker, having completed Te Araroa in New Zealand and The Pacific Crest Trail on the West Coast of the US.

Hottie of the Week – Isaiah Mustafa

This week’s hottie cameo’d in David Castro’s last week – as the other half of that zinger-filled exchange between Raphael and Luke. Yep, that’s right ...
