Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD – Alien Race Revealed – SPOILERS

Agents of Shei

HERE BE SPOILERS – YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

In an interview with TVGuide, SHIELD Exec Producer Jeffrey Bell has revealed the true nature of the giant blue alien that was found in the Guest House in season 1. The one that the GH-325 serum was obtained from…yeah, that serum, the one that made Coulson start carving the map of an alien city and several others go kinda batshit crazy. If you don’t want to be spoiled for the upcoming reveal STOP READING NOW!

Apparently the December 2nd episode will reveal that the big blue dude is in fact a member of the Kree, the same race which Ronan the Accuser (the bad guy in Guardian’s of the Galaxy) hails from.

But the SHIELD crew have no idea what the Kree are, according to Bell, “Our people don’t know anything about the Kree or that there’s a planet full of them. What they do know is that the strange carvings created by Coulson after he was injected with the Kree serum are actually the map of a city, and they need to find that city before Hydra does. But where is it? Here or on another planet?”

The general fan reaction seems to be that the city is Atillan, home of the Inhumans, leading to speculation that Skye (and her mother who we met in this week’s episode) is an Inhuman. With an Inhumans movie scheduled as part of Marvel’s Phase 3 for November 2nd 2018 this is some serious forward planning if it is the case. I for one can’t wait to see how this plays out in the show and how it ties it in to the rest of the Marvel universe.
