Only 13 Episodes
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD season 6 will be a truncated season, just 13 episodes instead of the usual 22. Whether this signals the beginning of the end for the show awaits to be seen, but here at FANdemonium Towers we really hope not. ABC may yet order a back 9 for season 6 and/or renew for a seventh season. We will have to wait and see.
#CoulsonLives
The small screen extension of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD has done remarkable things during its run. Tying in to the movie franchise during pivotal events such as the HYDRA take over in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and mentions of the Sokovia Accords. Not to mention the fact the show began with Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) revealing he was alive after being murdered by Loki in the first Avengers movie.
It has already been confirmed that the final episodes of season 5 take place during the events of Infinity War, so it’s likely that the season 5 finale will end with them doing the thing. That thing that happened at the end of Avengers: Infinity War… Has everyone seen it yet? Well just in case I won’t say any more, but if you HAVE seen Infinity War – THAT THING. It’s looking a little rough at the moment for Coulson, and the team are weighing his fate in the balance. It would be an incredible shame to lose such a key member of the team, especially after THAT KISS last week!
The season 5 finale of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD airs Friday on ABC at 9/8c.
