Rapper Macklemore, whose real name is Ben Haggerty, and fiancee Tricia Davis, have cleared up a whole load of pregnancy speculation in perhaps the cutest way possible.
In a YouTube video the Grammy-award-winner confirms their exciting news with intimate clips from the ultrasound scan.
Addressing the rumors, the 31-year-old wrote:
“We wanted to share the news with you ourselves… Love Ben & Tricia”,
before the short clip kicks off.
In the video we can see the ‘Same Love’ rapper holding his fiancee’s hand as the duo get choked up watching their new baby on the monitor.
The video ends with Macklemore revealing that the stork is expected to make its delivery in May, meaning that Tricia is around about five-months pregnant.
Speculation of a pregnancy was buzzing about following the couple’s New Year’s celebration in Las Vegas, with a source telling the New York Post:
“Tricia wasn’t drinking while everyone else had a cocktail.”
Macklemore performed that night with Ryan Lewis, but reportedly kept an eye on Tricia throughout, with an insider adding:
“She was dancing and standing in the back, but not really with the crowd.
Tricia and Macklemore have been together for eight years, with the rapper popping the question last January.
