Speaking at the Comic Con Experience in Sao Paolo, Brazil, the former Game of Thrones, Conan and Stargate: Atlantis star confirmed what we have all known since the summer, that he will be playing Aquaman in the upcoming DC Comics movie universe.
He spoke at length and mentioned that his contract is for four movies although didn’t specify which. It’s probably pretty safe to assume, however, that he will debut as Arthur Curry/Aquaman in Batman v Superman, feature in both of the Justice League movies which have been announced and then the announced Aquaman solo movie in 2018.
The DCU movie page twitter account reported a few of his statements, including this little gem
"Aquaman will be a bad-ass, otherwise, they wouldn't cast me for the role." – Jason Momoa #CCPX

And also the fact that Momoa wants Zack Snyder to direct his solo movie, but given that Snyder is currently locked in to directing the Justice League movies which are slated for 2017 and 2019 I’m not sure he’ll have time to helm the Aquaman movie for a 2018 release.
