Late last year, 20th Century Fox was given the okay to reboot the 1996 sci-fi movie Independence Day. The remake, ID Forever, however is not bringing back Will Smith. According to The Wrap, it looks like Liam Hemsworth may be filling that spot.
Hemsworth, of The Hunger Games fame, would be taking on the role under the direction of Roland Emmerich.
The film is set to begin shooting in May, with a release date of June 2016. The movie will take place 20 years after the original and there’s a new invasion.
