Grand Alliance: Crunchyroll and VIZ team up for newest mobile RPG release!- A foray into the mobile RPG genre by the media giants
Grand Alliance is a new mobile RPG game that is the product of VIZ media and Crunchyroll putting their creative genius together. Developed by Gaudium Media. The new game takes place in an industrial fantasy world at the brink of war.
The Imperial family has been assassinated and a tyrant has taken over the Alcyon Empire, giving rise to power struggles between five noble houses. Follow the story of Amelia, the last surviving heir to the throne, as she aims to reunite a country divided by war and strife. Journey across the continent to gather new allies, uncover hidden mysteries of the world, and unite the nation under your banner.
Gaudium Games
The developers, Gaudium. Were the same developers for Armor Blitz. An anime style RPG that has you play as a commander for anime thank girls. I genuinely love Armor Blitz. It sounds mad but it’s a genuinely entertaining. Especially during the latter levels where things become much more challenging and tactical. In Armor Blitz. You can choose from one of three army leaders to partner with. Your choice depends entirely on your play style and personal preference.
The way Grand Alliance is worded it sounds as if there may be such a system in place for this game, too. Which is always a plus!
Not only that but Gaudium have a good reputation for not being “play-to-win” like some devs. If you want to spend money on extras you can. The game never forces you to though. You can play through the whole of Armour Blitz multiple times and not have to spend a dime. As alot of gamers will be aware, this is becoming increasingly rare in the mobile RPG world. So to see Crunchyroll and VIZ team up with a developer with such a good reputation is a very good sign.
Grand Alliance has pre-registration up on Crunchyroll’s website here. Along with pre-registration awards given to the player when the game is finally released. I’ve already pre-registered, I’m super excited for this game!
