Gen V Review | Episode 6

The 6th episode of Gen V was released on October 20th. Gen V explores the first generation of superheroes to know that their superpowers are from Compound V. These heroes put their physical and moral boundaries to the test competing for the school’s top ranking. Below is our review of Gen V episode 6.

The group now knows that Cate (Maddie Phillips) was behind whipping their memories as well as taking Luke’s (Patrick Schwarzenegger) memories of having a brother. We got an inside look at her mind when she brought the other inside her memories, all starting from her brother’s disappearance.

Amy – I thought it was very cool how they brought the others into Cate’s memories instead of doing flashbacks. Also getting an inside look at how Indira Shetty (Shelley Conn) recruited Cate into Vought schemes. But Cate was also able to drag the others into their memories while also still inside her own. Very trippy.

Brina – I thought it was great that we finally got to see what was going on in her head. I was surprised to see that Cate had been cheating on Luke the whole time with Andre (Chance Perdomo). I really didn’t see that coming. I thought it was just them getting together because they were both grieving over him. Also seeing how Cate’s mom had treated her after her brother disappeared was just awful.

With another budding romance on the horizon with Emma (Lizze Broadway) and Sam (Asa Germann); with all the couples in the show, which one is your favorite?

Brina – I do love puppet, Sam and Emma. There is just something about how Sam turns everyone into puppets as his coping mechanism is just awesome. Funny that he even did it in the middle of his first sexual encounter. I do, also, kinda like Marie and Jordan. I would really like to see how that couple works out.

Amy – First off Sam and Emma are absolutely adorable and totally predicted them getting together, just from the hint of the season promo poster. But if I have to pick a favorite it is obviously Jordan (London Thor & Derek Luh) and Marie (Jaz Sinclair).

Overall Thoughts, anything to add

Amy – The special appearance of Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) really made me laugh in this episode; I love him because he has no filter. Which made it great with our young heroes. It was very trippy seeing both female and male Jordan in one scene, and then on top of that they got them to talk to each other. With the chaos of Cate’s memories, we finally got to know what the woods are and what Indira Shetty is up to, she wants to kill supes.

Brina – Soldier Boy for the win! He was my favorite part of this episode. His no filter attitude really sums up everything for me. He is crude and rude and I LOVE IT. I honestly can’t wait to see how these youngsters try to take down the school and all of their testing on supes. It was really awful to see that they had killed a supe student. This “super virus” could be really, really bad if it gets out.
