Game of Thrones Roundtable Review

Game of Thrones

Season 8 Episode 2

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

The depiction of two powerful families – kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and honest men – playing a deadly game for control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and to sit atop the Iron Throne.

PB: I was impressed with this episode. It was much better then last week. So much happened I am not even sure where to begin but I am am so ready for more. I am not ready or it to be over though. I honestly think this episode should have been named “Strong ass women” cause the main focus to me was all the women in this season.

Sabrina: This episode was a lot better than the first one. We had more storyline and some action. In my opinion this episode was for all those strong women in the show. Like PB said.. strong ass women!

Arya

Game of Thrones Season 8

Maisie Williams

PB: Lets talk Arya first, I am so proud of her and in shock. I didn’t see that coming. I know after the show there was a buzz on the web some were happy and others not so happy. I, myself think she has grown up so much and been on her own for so long, folks forget that she is not a “little girl” anymore. She did want she wanted like always, can’t be mad at that.

Sabrina: Arya suprised me a lot in this episode. We all have seen how much she’s grown since season 1 and it’s just impressive. Her character had one of the hardest and most emotional ways for me and she took it with strength and bravery! Also she kinda suprised me by “getting a woman” up in this episode. Didn’t see that coming for sure!

Brienne of Tarth Becomes a Knight

PB: This had to be one of the best scenes in the the entire series for me. Brienne has always been a very strong character and to see her finally get the one thing she has always wanted was just epic to me. Only downside to this is now I think she is going to die. She finally got the one thing she wanted….what else does she have to live for??? Unless you guys think she will finally hook up with one of the two men that are both dying for sometime with her.

Sabrina: DAMN this made me cry! Brienne did so much throughout the show and now she finally got recognized for it. Her being a knight now is just freaking amazing and well deserved. She’s so devoted and strong… she deserves this more than anybody!

The truth is out there…..finally

PB: So Jon finally told Dani the truth and lets be honest, she would looked like she wanted it to be a lie. Makes me wonder if she truly loves him. I honestly think she wants the throne more than Jon. But we all know Jon doesn’t want to be King. He never has. He has always been a fighter, a leader yes but a King. Not Jon’s thing. But than again that is what makes him the perfect King. What do you guys think?

Sabrina: To be honest.. I thought Dani would react differently. I don’t really know what I was expecting but definitely not this! Jon telling her the truth was definitely the right thing to do but I think you could see in her reaction that she was threatened by him now. Really curious how true her love to him really is. But we will see that in the next episodes I hope.

Dany and Sansa

PB:  This little sit down chat had to be my second favorite part of the episode. Finally to see these two together and alone was amazing. I love the power struggle that is happening between them. Sanas is a Stark and family comes first and she isn’t too sure about Dany. Sanas wants the North to stay with the Starks. While Dany just wants its all. I feel like we haven’t seen the end of these two “chatting”.

Sabrina: Our women going strong and having a talk! It was amazing to see that they finally talked and got along (at least for a bit). For me those two women are the strongest in the show and I’m sure this won’t be the last we see of them talking together.
