Jennifer Ehle has confessed she hadn’t read Fifty Shades Of Grey until she signed up to appear in the movie.
The Zero Dark Thirty actress will play Anastasia Steele’s mother in the big screen adaptation of EL James’ erotic novel.
Jennifer confessed to E! News she didn’t read the book until after she took the part, and added: “It’s extraordinary. I’m excited. I feel kind of like a tourist… I’m along for the ride, as it were.”
The Fall star Jamie Dornan will now star opposite Dakota Johnson as kinky billionaire Christian Grey in the film.
The former Calvin Klein underwear model replaced Charlie Hunnam after he dropped out of the film.
Jennifer said: “I didn’t follow any of the drama, but I think Jamie will be amazing.”
Sam Taylor-Johnson’s film already has a release date set for August 2014. There is a lot of hype around the movie following the success of the book.
Jennifer admitted she wasn’t sure how erotic the film would be, saying: “Being a visual medium, it’s hard to tell from a script what something’s going to be like.”
