The Hollywood Reporter revealed today that Roza Salazar will be joining the Maze Runner family for the upcoming film The Scorch Trials as Brenda, which starts shooting next month.
Within the books Brenda is seen as a strong independent character that Thomas relies heavily on once outside of the maze. She’s more familiar with the outside world and lends quite a bit to the overall plot of the story. Absolutely a key character in the Maze Runner world.
Rosa was also recently cast as Lynn in the Divergent sequel Insurgent so she is no stranger to the young adult genre and the fans that go along with the books and movies.
