Designated Survivor Cancelled by Netflix
Very very bad news for all the Designated Survivor fans out there – me included! After the cancellation of DS by ABC after two season the whole fandom was shattered. Then we learned that Netflix put up another season and we all could breath again. But sadly we now have to say goodbye to the hit show, starring Kiefer Sutherland, for good.
Netflix said in a statement:
We are proud to have offered fans a third season of Designated Survivor, and will continue to carry all three seasons for years to come. We’re especially thankful to star and executive producer Kiefer Sutherland, who brought passion, dedication and an unforgettable performance as President Kirkman. We’re also grateful to showrunner/executive producer Neal Bear for his guiding vision and steady hand, creator/executive producer David Guggenheim and EPs Mark Gordon, Suzan Bymel, Simon Kinberg, Aditya Sood and Peter Noah along with the cast and crew who crafted a compelling and satisfying final season.
The news comes after “Lucifer,” another broadcast show that was revived by Netflix, was renewed for a fifth and final season in June.
I have to say, I am more than sad and disappointed that DS got cancelled. But that’s how it is with shows right? What are your thoughts about it? Feel free to share your thoughts and emotions in the comments below!
