Jurassic World star Chris Pratt has signed for at least one sequel.
Following the box office success of Jurassic World – which took $18.5M on opening night – fans of the franchise will be please to know dinosaur chasing Pratt will be back.
As the film conquers the box office, Pratt confirms with Entertainment Weekly that he’s signed on the dotted line again and will return.
“I am,” he told the mag, joking, “They have me for I think 38 movies or something.”
Pratt stars alongside Bryce Dallas Howard in the movie, which picks up more than 20 years after John Hammond’s original vision for Jurassic Park went up in flames.
Jurassic World is on its way to conquering the box office after it rakes in millions on it’s first night.
The blockbuster opened on Thursday night here in the states, and has taken $18.5 million across 3,229 theaters already.
This sets it on par with 2008’s The Dark Knight pre-shows ranking 13th for Thursday night previews.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 takes the top spot, earning $43.5 million for it’s midnight previews.
Insiders predict that Jurassic World could smash the June box office records taking over titleholder Superman film Man of Steel which took $116.6 million in 2013.
