American Gods – Moon Shadow Overall

Brina: Dude this episode tripped me out. It was like I was on drug trip. I was more confused than I have ever been. On the scale from  1 to 10, I am give it like 7. I just was left confused and wanting.

Jenn: I get the cliffhangers, but so many questions and I don’t want to wait for season 3. I have questions damnit.. I wanted and needed so much more from this episode. I have so many questions.

  • Why was Laura (Emily Browning) carrying Sweeney away
  • Why did dead wife step in the blood and pull a bit of it away
  • What the heck did Shadow do
  • Did him as a kid make the police in his adult Shadow’s life go away

Shadow and the Tree of Life

Brina: I wasn’t sure if the tree was giving him life and answers he was in need of or if it was changing his life as he knows it. The tree showed him and told him a lot about Mr. Wednesday. Did the truth finally come out? Mr. Wednesday is Shadow’s Dad.

Jenn: Dude, I am so lost. Like he was only able to get into the tree because he was escaping, right? If so, if Shadow wasn’t leaving would any of this have happened? What did we learn from it? Did Mr. Nancy (Orlando Jones) know when he was talking to Ibis (Demore Barnes) that, that was ‘supposed’ to happen?

Laura and Sweeney

Brina: In the end we see that Laura isn’t with Shadow, she left with Mad. Well his body. She was walking down the street carrying his dead body….but to where? Is she going to give him his coin back? Back to the voodoo priest? Sucks we have to wait to see what happens there.

Jenn: Didn’t Shadow tell her to go? She wants Shadow to leave Wednesday, and I don’t think Shadow is capable of that. I think he has way too many questions to leave him. The coin can only be taken out of Laura and put back into Sweeney if Laura willingly gives it up. They were in a funeral home, why wasn’t it done there? That’s a long walk to carry a dead body to go back to New Orleans.

New Media

Brina: New Media was just off the chain in the episode. She was working her system to the max and pulling out all her tricks and hate. Seriously she was bringing out the worst in folks and bringing on the end of the world with just a few ideas and images. It was kinda scary.

Jenn: The thing is, about New Media, is she was dreamt up by Neil Gaiman, so many years ago. The entire book is how old? And so much of this is relevant now and even more so. How wise is Neil to think this up?

What is the deal with Technical Boy (Bruce Langley)? What side is he on? I mean 2 episodes ago he was in one of those mask things, that he had Shadow in, and then he was in it? Was he reprogrammed?

Brina: He was totally reprogrammed and now I believe he is totally under someone else power

How confused are you now? Why did Shadow have a new name suddenly?

Brina:  I am just as confused as Shadow was when the police passed him by. But if you read the book this named had been poppin up alot.

What is going on with the Jinn and Salim? Are Ibis and Mr. Nancy plotting things?

Brina:  I don’t know because this last episode had be twisted. All I know is season 3 can’t come soon enough. This fangirl needs answers. #WaitingSucks
