Adele performed “Hello” for the first time on Thursday night as part of a BBC One special — it also was the singer’s first live, televised performance in nearly three years. And the singer who’s been breaking records since her return sounded as amazing as ever.
After the performance, host Graham Norton brought Adele forward to play a bit of “Rumour Has It,” where the songstress gave the audience a bit of truth they’ve been itching to confirm. One audience member brought the gossip to the table by asking Adele if it’s true that she no longer has access to her own Twitter account.
“I mean, I’m not a drinker anymore, but when Twitter first came out I was, like, drunk tweeting and nearly put my foot in it quite a few times,” Adele said. So, my management decided that you have to go through two people and then it has to be signed off by someone — but they’re all my tweets. No one writes my tweets. They just post them for me. So, yeah, that’s very, very true.”
So in other words — world records aside — Adele is basically us when it comes to social media. She is human and has flaws like the rest of us! The singer with a voice like an angel, makes the same mistakes we mere humans make.
