Taboo Renewed For Second Series

Hats off to Taboo(preferably the black, stove pipe kind); it has been renewed for a second series, according to Radio Times.

The groundbreaking show is a hit with audiences, in no small part to Tom Hardy’s portrayal of the enigmatic and dangerous James Keziah Delaney, a man with a secret and supernatural past who has surrounded himself with characters he deems “damned”.
This renewal means we will most likely meet the mysterious Colonnade, and will definitely learn the fates of James’s brothers and sisters in arms after the final, bloody confrontation with the Prince Regent’s forces at the dock, many whom viewers are unsure will survive the ship’s roundabout journey to Nootka Sound.

Who will survive the first episode of series two?
Other questions also remain:

Tom Hardy as James Delaney in Taboo, renewed for a second series

TABOO — “Episode 8”– Pictured: Tom Hardy as James Keziah Delaney. CR: FX

?Will James make it to Nootka this series, or will we need a third(we need a third regardless, BBC One)?
?Will Lorna and Cholmondeley become a (shudder) couple?
?Will Zilpha, James’s sister, return in one form or another?
?Will Atticus get more entries for his book?
?Will we ever see Brace again, or will the writers focus solely on James and his crew?
?How much more will we learn of James’s time in Africa, or his childhood?

?Have the Prince Regent and/or the East India Company lost enough men fighting James, or does revenge mean more to the Crown and the Company than the lives of soldiers and emissaries at this point, or did he leave both with enough trouble in England to keep them permanently at bay?
I’m sure some of those questions will be answered, but if series two is anything like series one, there will be even more questions raised by this new foray into the renewed world of Taboo.
Congratulations Tom and Chips Hardy, Ridley Scott, and the rest of the renewed cast and crew of the series!
