As the episode begins; we see poor Buck (Oliver Stark) as he keeps texting and calling Chimney for any type of response. Buck is venting to his girlfriend, Taylor (Megan West) about how weird it has been without Chimney and how no one is talking about him being gone.

Narcissus

The 118 is called out to a guy who is stuck on the toilet after an intense work out. As the team is working together, there is some obvious tension happening within the team. Buck has taken responsibility to train Ravi (Anirudh Pisharody). In the process of training him, Ravi broke the stretcher making it fold inward together. While helping the injured guy Hen (Aisha Hinds) finds out that the guy did 300 sit ups; as a result, had a severely pinched nerve in the neck. This is why I never work out.

The Grant Family

Athena (Angela Bassett) and May (Corinne Massiah) decided to have a mother daughter bonding day and treat themselves to mani pedis. Athena wanted to get information out of May about her brother Harry (Marcanthonee Reis) and how he was doing. May shifted the conversation and vented to Athena, about Claudette (Vanessa Williams), about how Claudette seems to be picking on her.

Bobby (Peter Krause) got a call into Harry’s school. The principle informs Bobby that Harry has been acting out in class; that he has been ill-tempered, using expletives with his teachers. She then informs Bobby that Harry was suspended for punching another kid. Harry tried getting Bobby not to tell his parents, but we know that will not go over smoothly.

Tree Trimming

There is a reason why you need to work in at least pair when trimmings trees and bushes. During a 911 call, May get a call from a someone who is not responding, Claudette takes over the call and was able to pinpoint the person. Since they were not getting verbal contact the injured person on the line was pressing dial buttons to answer the questions. Dispatch was able to send out the 118 to the scene, what they came across was truly gross. A guy so a chainsaw into his neck and collar bone. Luckily the team got to him in time and was able to get him to the hospital without further injury. Though during this time, Ravi was throwing up in the bushes not able to handle the sight.

Family on Edge

After shift, May was venting to Harry about what Claudette did during the call. When May discovered that Harry didn’t tell his parents where he was at. Bobby of course told Michael (Rockmond Dunbar) and Athena about Harry’s suspension. As both his parents were lecturing him about his behavior its now when Harry finally released his pent-up anger. That he blames his dad for letting it happen and that Jeffery kidnapped him to get back at Athena; that she was too busy being a cop, even going as far and telling his mom that she is a terrible mother. Athena’s reaction to this was slapping him.

Back at the station, Buck wanted to show Ravi how to disassemble a chainsaw, but Ravi is nowhere to be seen. Hen took it upon herself to find him, after listening to Ravi complain about Buck and his training process. Hen guides that Buck just wants to make sure Ravi’s ready and worthy. Then proceed to tell him that if Buck pushes that he needs to push back.

911--Episode 4 Peer Pressure

Shady Crest

Our next 911 call is at a retirement community; a foul chemical smell was coming from the basement in the Chapel as it was being checked out the lights where turned-on and sparks flew out causing an explosion. The 118 arrived on scene when asked how many people were accounted for it was told that two people were still missing, an orderly and 79-year-old resident. As the 118 entered the burning building they immediately found the two-missing people. The orderly had a piece of wood sticking out him, when told they were going to let surgeons take it out, the orderly decided to take it out himself. The elderly man had shattered his hip.

As Buck and Ravi were trying to get control of the fire, Ravi discovered that the chemicals in the fire were reacting to the water and that they need CO2 to battle the flames. As Bobby and the others were moved out two victims, they discovered a second fire. Ravi brought down the fire extinguishers and the team was able to put out the fire all together. It’s at this moment that Bobby discovered that it was a meth lap.

Top side in the fresh air, Bobby called out to dispatch that it was now a crime scene when our injured elderly man admitted that it was his meth lab. When his wife thought it was joke or the pain killers that was making him talk like this. It admitted more how else he was going to pay for the all the things that she wanted.

You’re Stuck with Us

At the end of the call Buck congratulated Ravi on the call about the CO2 and even fessed up that he believes that he is ready now. Back at the station the team is sitting down for dinner Buck announced that for the good of everyone that he was going to put in for a transfer. Buck blames himself for Chimney leaving and how everything feels broken in the team. Bobby fesses up that it was him who told Chimney to leave, Eddie told him it was the right thing to do and Hen offered to go with him. Hen reassures Buck that Chimney is coming back with Maddie. So, Bobby isn’t going to let Buck transfer, and as Eddie said, he stuck with them.

Potential to be Great

At the call center, May gets an alarming call from someone who said they wanted to leave a message for some friends. Said they just want it all to stop. As May was asking questions she noticed the girls speak is very slow and slurred. The girl on the line was saying she was tired of bullies and that her whole volleyball team hates her.

Claudette was listening in and tried telling May not make it about her and wanted May to transfer the call to her. May tells the caller she understands, and what she went through when she was 14. As May was distracting her with her story; May was able to send out for help and knew exactly where the girl was in her house. When call ended Claudette owns up that she is hard on May, but that’s only because she has the potential to be great.

Family Ties

At the end of the episode, Michael had Athena meet up with a counselor. The counselor suggested that Athena sees a therapist, and Michael is pushed as they swore, they would never hit their kids. Athena goes to Bobby for support, Athena tells him her fear that Jeffery has turned her own son against her. It then flashes to Harry who is reading an article about his mother killer Jeffery; the acritical calling her a rogue cop.

The episode ends with Buck getting a phone call from Maddie, demanding why Chimney is in Utah. Buck explains it all to her and begs for her come home. Maddie just pushes the idea that she isn’t ready. Just before the phone call ended church bells where ringing in the background, instantly informing Buck where she is.
